Single Origin Coffee

Cafe Ita Brazil is a Single Origin organic/biodynamic coffee from the mountain region known as the Chapada Diamantina in the state of Bahia, Brazil. Carefully selecting the best 100% Arabica coffee beans that have been grown through biodynamic farming principles we have created an excellent quality coffee that is ecologically and socially responsible.

Most of the coffee sold in the market today is a blend of coffees from a number or regions in a country or even a blend of coffees from several countries. Only Single Origin coffee gives you the true experience of the flavours of a producing region. It is our objective to produce the best possible quality biodynamic coffee from the Chapada Diamantina region for you to experience the unique and natural character of this beautiful mountainous area.

Our "Instituto Biodinâmico" (IBD) and Demeter certification assures that a holistic ethical and ecological approach is taken to the whole farming process including the farm, its surrounding environment and people who work the land.

We have partnered with a leading speciality roaster in the UK where we roast in small batches to offer you the freshest possible coffee.

Please contact us if you are interested in learning more about the wholesale of green coffee beans or our locally roasted products.

We are working hard to bring you Cafe Ita biodynamic coffee to the UK. Please contact us about your interest and we will let you know when the product will be launched. We are aiming to have the Roasted Coffee in the UK towards the second half of September 2008.

Direct Trade

Cafe Ita was created in partnership with the farmers of the Chapada Diamantina region with a view to have direct access to the European markets. Cafe Ita is largely owned by the farming community in Brazil and was created to provide a direct outlet for their products.

When you buy Cafe Ita you are in effect buying directly from the farmers in Brazil, what could be more fair trade than direct trade?

There are many ethical and socially responsible labels and certifications in the market today. However, we strongly believe that the best form of trade is for farmers to have direct access to both the wholesale and consumers markets in Europe.

We believe that the best chance of success and improvement in the farming regions is through the creation of direct channels to the primary markets.

It is our aim to produce quality coffees in an ecological and ethical manner for all involved and to provide this product to the consumer through the most direct channels so as to bring with it all the character of our unique mountain region of Brazil.
