Job Functions (An overview of what the job primarily consists of)

Strategize and develop new business opportunities, sourcing of new suppliers and marketing initiatives to reinforce company’s market prominence

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership of and responsibility for stores, identifying new opportunities for sourcing and making key buying decisions.

Brand management which may include, but not limited to, promoting the business, serving key distribution customers, store design, evaluation of new products and determining new distribution opportunities.

Explore and develop alternate sales channels such as wholesale supply, on-line store and/or franchise opportunities local and abroad.

Work with the Marketing Director to plan and implement annual marketing calendar for positive brand building through health awareness campaigns, sales promotional activities, on-line marketing opportunities and other related marketing initiatives.

Coordinate, share and facilitate an understanding product range within the store and through other distribution opportunities within the group and alternative distribution channels.

Develop and maintain a deep understanding of organic products in the marketplace and advice on new distribution channels and affinity partner marketing agreements.

Primary focus is keeping ahead of customer preferences and determines products that will meet on going customers’ needs and preferences.

Develop and manage relationships with relevant internal and external parties ensuring the relationships are maintained in a positive, collaborative and effective manner.

Review, monitor and recommend changes (where required) to the Retail Operation Standards so as to ensure effective delivery of business performance and efficient business process management.

Develop team members to perform to their fullest potential through inspirational leadership practices.

To undertake ad-hoc projects assigned by the Managing Director.

Requirements

1)Degree in Management, Marketing, Retail Management or equivalent.
2)Minimum 8 years relevant experience at a Managerial level with a proven track record in superior delivery of business results.
3)In-depth experience in managing supermarket chain, F&B and/or retail operations for FMCG products.
4)Knowledge in organic food products is an added advantage.
5)Strong communication, business acumen and media relations skills.
6)Outgoing personality with a commercial mindset to develop new business opportunities.
7)Able to motivate and inspire the team to achieve qualitative and quantitative business goals.
8)Able to multi-task, resourceful and hands-on.
